Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

Motto of NCC
The need for having motto for the Corps was discussed in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11th August 1978. The mottos suggested were "Duty and Discipline"; "Duty, Unity and Discipline"; "Duty and Unity"; "Unity and Discipline". The final decision for selection of "Unity and Discipline" as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC Meeting held on 12th October 1980.

Event : VOTERS PLEDGE ON NATIONAL VOTERS DAY, 2022

The NCC unit of Hindustan College of Arts & Science has observed “National Voters Day” on 25th January 2022 at 11.30 AM. The Director of Collegiate Education and Regional Joint Directors (RJD) directed our college to take the Voters’ Pledge in bilingual (Tamil and English) on the day of National Voters Day. Many staff and students participated in this event in the presence of Vice-Principal Mr.S.Samuel Sampath, NCC Caretaker A. Aruldass, NSS program Officers Dr. L. Krishnasamy and Ms. R. UdhayaBanu.

The NCC unit of Hindustan College of Arts & Science, Chennai conducted an International Yoga Day on 21.06.2022 at 8.00 Am in the morning held on College Campus. 30 Students participated and 2 staff members presided over the event. A special message was given on the day about the importance and Benefits of Yoga by Mr. A. Aruldass. (NCC Caretaker) and Dr. L. Krishnasamy (NSS Program Officer.) Various Asanas were taught to the cadets and insisted they regularize the practice in their life. End of the program refreshment was arranged for students and staff who attended the program.

As per the Direction of the TN 10 Battalion, The NCC of Hindustan College of Arts & Science has organized a FIT INDIA MOVEMENT RALLY ON 27.10.2022. The objective of this rally is to make every citizen fit and healthy. We started the rally from Padur village to Kelambakkam about 3 kilometers. The students actively participated and displayed the Chart work prepared by the NCC Cadets during the rally. The Principal Dr. S. Thirumagan inaugurated and addressed the gathering about the importance of fitness. End of the program every cadet is asked to take a pledge and uploaded the photographs to the website http://fitindia.gov.in/freedom-run-3.0. Finally, we arranged Breakfast for students and faculty who have attended the program.

The NCC unit of Hindustan College of Arts & Science has organized a WORLD AIDS DAY AWARENESS RALLY on 08.12.2022 at 11.00 AM. The rally was inaugurated and addressed by the Principal Dr. S. Thirumagan. Vice-Principal Mr. Samuel Sampath Kumar, and Vice- Principal Dr.S. Illanjiyam (Academic and Research), HR Manager Mr. T. M. Ramesh and NSS Programming Officer Dr. L. Krishnasamy and NCC Caretaker Mr. A. Aruldass witnessed the occasion.
The objective of this rally is to create awareness among the public and make everyone alert about using the medicine and how to be safe and deal with AIDS Victims, and We started the rally from Padur village to Kelambakkam about 3 kilometers. The students actively participated in the rally. Finally, we arranged refreshments for the students and faculty who attended the program.
