The Department of Visual Communication at Hindustan College of Arts & Science took a creative step toward social change by presenting a Street Theatre on Drug Awareness on 8th October 2025 at 2 PM.
This impactful initiative aimed to shed light on the dangers of drug abuse and encourage young minds to make responsible and healthy life choices.
Street theatre has long been recognized as a powerful platform to communicate social messages in a way that connects with people emotionally and intellectually. The Visual Communication students harnessed this art form to convey the devastating effects of drug addiction on individuals, families, and society.
Through powerful dialogues, expressive performances, and realistic storytelling, the team successfully captured the audience’s attention and delivered a heartfelt message — “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life.”
The performance was not just about awareness; it was a call for change. It encouraged viewers to take a stand against drug use, support peers in making better choices, and build a healthier, drug-free community.
Faculty members and students praised the participants for their creativity, dedication, and ability to communicate a critical issue through art.
The Street Theatre on Drug Awareness stands as a shining example of how education, creativity, and social responsibility can come together to inspire transformation. The Department of Visual Communication continues to empower its students to use their talents for meaningful causes — turning performance into purpose.
