The Department of Computer Applications successfully organized an Alumni Interaction Session on [22/08/2025] with great enthusiasm. The session was graced by our alumnus Mr. Gopinath, who passed out in the year 2025 and is currently placed at IBM. The program began with a Welcome Address delivered by Ms. Priyanga K, Asst. Professor Department of Computer Applications, School of Computational Studies, Hindustan College of Arts & Science.  During the talk, Mr. Gopinath shared his personal journey, highlighting their academic experiences in college, the internships he has done, the challenges faced during placement drives, and the strategies that helped him succeed. He also spoke about the work culture at IBM, the importance of continuous learning, and the latest technological trends that students should focus on. The juniors actively participated in the interactive session by asking questions about skill development, resume building, and interview preparation to join in IBM and other reputed companies. The alumnus patiently answered all queries, leaving the students motivated and better prepared for their interviews in reputed companies. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Baskar, Asst. Professor expressed his gratitude to the alumnus for sparing time to guide and inspire his juniors. Objectives of the Program: The purpose of this event was to inspire and motivate our current students by providing them with insights into industry expectations, placement preparation, and career growth. The program aimed to motivate juniors, bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, and help them prepare effectively for placements, career development, and future professional challenges. Outcome: The session was highly beneficial and strengthened the bond between alumni and the institution and boosted their confidence, motivated them to set clear career goals, and encouraged them to adopt effective strategies for succeeding in interviews.
