The Department of English, founded in 2011, offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) program in English and boasts a dedicated faculty of 16 members and a vibrant student body of 75 individuals. The department is steadfast in its mission to impart knowledge and foster academic excellence by providing students with a robust foundation in English literature, language, and personal growth.
A key pedagogical approach adopted for Part II English, covering Semesters I to IV, is a skill-centered methodology that prioritizes the development of the four core language competencies: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW).
In addition to its academic offerings, the department actively engages with students through initiatives such as seminars and guest lectures. Beyond the standard curriculum, it also provides supplementary courses that equip students with practical, adaptable skills for life.
