A guest lecture on “Curious to Conclusion: Understanding the Research Process” was conducted on 21 August 2025 with the objective of familiarizing students with the systematic approach to academic and applied research. The session was delivered by Dr. A. N. Solayappan, Government College, Tiruttani, who served as the resource person. Dr. A. N. Solayappan explained the complete research journey, beginning with identifying a research problem and progressing through literature review, formulation of objectives and hypotheses, research design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation. He emphasized the importance of critical thinking, clarity of objectives, and methodological rigor at each stage of the research process. The session also highlighted ethical considerations in research, proper documentation, and the significance of drawing meaningful conclusions based on evidence. Real-time examples and practical insights shared by the resource person helped participants understand how theoretical concepts are applied in actual research work. The lecture was interactive, and participants actively engaged by raising questions and discussing research-related challenges.
