The  Department of Computer Applications, Hindustan College of Arts and Science, in association with Shadow Protocol, organized a Hands-on Workshop on Practical Web Application Security & Ethical Hacking on 24th September 2025 at Data Science Lab 1. The session was scheduled from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The workshop was graced by the presence of our respected dignitaries –Head’s, Dean’s and other staffs who encouraged and motivated the students with their valuable words. The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Lijo Jose and Mr. Kishor Kumar J, Founders of Shadow Protocol, who are experts in the field of cybersecurity. They conducted the sessions with live demonstrations and practical activities, guiding students a real-time understanding of web application security, vulnerabilities, and ethical hacking techniques. Students actively participated in hands-on exercises such as identifying vulnerabilities, simulating attacks, and applying defensive strategies. The interactive approach helped participants gain both theoretical insights and practical exposure to cybersecurity challenges. The workshop proved to be highly beneficial, as it enhanced the technical skills of students and created awareness about the importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital world. Participants appreciated the resource persons for their engaging sessions and practical guidance.
