RED RIBBON CLUB
The HCAS Red Ribbon Club is a vibrant student-led initiative dedicated to spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS, promoting healthy lifestyles, and fostering a sense of social responsibility among the youth of Hindusthan College of Arts and Science (HCAS). Established under the guidance of the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), the club actively engages students in educational and outreach programs focused on health, wellness, and community service.
The red ribbon symbolizes solidarity with those living with HIV/AIDS and the commitment to fight stigma and misinformation. Through awareness rallies, seminars, workshops, blood donation drives, and peer education, the HCAS RRC empowers students to lead the way in building a compassionate, informed, and health-conscious society.
Objectives of RRC
- To prepare youth as peer educators/agents of change both among youth as well as society at large by developing their skills on leadership, advocacy, communication and team building.
- To serve as forums for students to participate in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
- To promote voluntary blood donation among youth.
- To motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation, and team building.
- To counsel the students regarding the various preventives for their proper health.
GOAL OF RRC
- Equipping youth with correct information on HIV/AIDS Prevention,Treatment, Care and Supporting.
- To make HIV/AIDS free INDIA by creating awareness about the spread and cause of HIV/AIDS among the student youth, non-student youth and public.

YOUTH RIBBON CLUB
The Youth Red Ribbon Club (YRRC) of Hindusthan College of Arts and Science (HCAS) is a dynamic student-driven initiative aimed at spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS, promoting safe and healthy lifestyles, and encouraging voluntary blood donation. The club empowers youth to take the lead in health education and social outreach, fostering a culture of compassion, responsibility, and community service. Through interactive sessions, campaigns, and events, YRRC inspires students to be informed, empathetic, and proactive citizens.
OBJECTIVE OF YRC
- To conduct social and health awareness programmes.
- Awareness on the care of their own health and that of others.
- To encourage the students to extend their humanitarian services to the society.
- To offer First Aid Training to all the YRC volunteers.
- To develop leadership quality among the students.
- The understanding and acceptance of civic responsibilities and acting accordingly with humanitarian concern,to fulfill the same.

- The Indian Red Cross Society aims to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times, all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized, alleviated and even prevented, thus contribute to creating a more congenial climate for peace.
