This Course is unique in training students in Journalist skills, such as, writing, editing, reporting, communication theories, as well as in Advertising Public Relations and new media, so that they can write or speak or project an organization effectively in media as it fits rightly into this area. The students can also work in government or private or corporate sector.

One learns theory and practical subjects of Journalism, Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, New Media and Social Media. One learns to study media practical subjects as well as theory in the first year. In the second year one concentrates on internship and practical skills of media in a media industry to explore the industry standards.

Students can work in media industries in India or abroad in journalism, communication, advertising PR and new media effectively; doing speaking, writing, editing, producing, and directing. Students can go to advanced countries as the USA or UK for study or work and can spend greater amount of time in international organizations or government departments in India or abroad.

It is a theory cum practical course, as opportunities are available to learn both in class room and laboratories. HCAS has media studies and labs are uniquely created to learn all forms of media practices. The students are exposed to guest lectures by visiting faculties and others to keep learning going on all the time.

HCAS unique liberal arts orientation, is located in scenic surroundings of Chennai, and the learning is easier and in a conducive atmosphere. Students learn from overseas trained faculty with special emphasis on media, and industry trained practical instructors. The state-of-the-art labs facilitate practical instruction round the year on media fields.

One should contact admission office of HCAS or college office to start application and do all formalities to get admitted to MA. The admission takes place from the month of April.
