Center for Research & Development (CRD) was initiated in September, 2021 to engage faculty, scholars & students to involve in cutting edge research and hope to achieve high levels of excellence through innovations, collaborations and pioneering work. CRD’s aim is to be one among the best research center through the pursuit of excellence in research and promotion of innovation. CRD’s mission is to realize its vision by involving in high-impact research, generating new knowledge, and disseminating this knowledge through publications and patents. Within a year in the name of CRD 12 research articles were published in high impact journals with a cumulative impact factor of 29.34. Two patents (1 granted) and four copyrights were also filed in the name of CRD, HCAS. CRD has initiated HCAS Outstanding Student Research (OSR) award exclusively for post graduate students of HCAS and Outstanding Contribution towards Research (OCR) for staff members. Every year few students and staff will be awarded with HCAS OSR & OCR based on their contributions towards research. The award comprises of cash prize, certificate and medal. First HCAS Outstanding Student Research Award (HCAS OSR) was organized on 6th May, 2022. 5 PG students were awarded with HCAS OSR award based on their contribution to research.
Second HCAS Outstanding Student Research Award (OSR) and Outstanding Contribution to Research Award (OCR) was organized on 23.02.2023. Dr. M. Anbuselvam, Neurosurgeon, Dr. Rela Institute & Medical Centre was the Chief Guest. He insisted about organ donation during the programme. Books published by the staff members were also released during the programme. The OSR and OCR award winners received certificates, medals, cash prize and the award during the programme. Apart from that, FDP programme for staff members and webinars were also conducted to improve the standard of research.
A Patent has been granted to the patentee HCAS & Inventor Dr. A. Ganesh Kumar - for invention entitled “Process of Preparation of Polyherbal Extract Formulation Preventing Proliferation of Cancerous Cells and Product Thereof” for the term of 20 years from 1st day of January 2022 in accordance with the provisions of the Patent Act, 1970.
CRD aims to be one among the best research center through the pursuit of excellence in research and promotion of innovation.
