Mathematics, being the foundation of all sciences, is a subject that offers limitless scope for higher education. The improvements and achievements in various fields of technology and sciences are made possible only with the gift of Mathematics. A strong foundation in Mathematics, effective thinking and communication skills are necessary to succeed in any technical endeavor. Whether it is physical or social sciences, education, law, business, medicine, or government, a math degree will take you anywhere. Mathematics is a calculation, and no life is devoid of calculation.
The Department of Mathematics in the campus of Hindustan College of Arts & Science was started as a full-fledged department in the year 2010 and is flourishing successfully from then. At HCAS, the learning experience extends beyond the classroom, through several student activities. The Department is well organized for teaching and guiding students toward the right path. It has 10 dedicated and qualified faculty with NET/SET or Ph.D. The Department helps the students to take up all competitive examinations. Also, our graduates are employed regularly in public service, administration, schools and private sectors, or cheerfully pursuing higher academic qualifications.
